I am the great (15) grandson of Nicholas Noyes. I just visted Newberry and went to the end of cottage street to see where my great grandfather jump off the boat. Also on my mothers side I go back to Bradford, Brewster, Hopkins also a Jamestown decendant and Doty from Plymouth. I would love to get to know some of my cousins.

I am descended from Daniel (and Anne Pell) Thurston. I am making a Thurston Lineage book (direct line) for my family.  Your site is very nice and has been helpful to confirm certain facts.  We live in Hawaii, descending from the missionaries Asa and Lucy Thurston who came here in 1820.

I really enjoy looking through everything on this site. Thank you for all the hard work! John Emery is my 9th Great Grandfather, and I am looking forward to walking the streets of my ancestors.

I am a direct descendant of James and Nicholas Noyes who founded Newbury. I am in the process of compiling a family history.  My mother is Harriett Patten Noyes Bishop who will be 90 in June and resides in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Her great aunt, Harriette E. Noyes, published a geneology and history of Hampstead. New Hampshire in the 1800s. I am the sister of Albert Bishop, who lives in North St. Paul, Minnesota, and has a geneaology web site. I live in Uncasville, Connecticut and have one son, Nicholas Tamburrino, and two grandchildren, Alexandra and Dominic Tamburrino. I have yet to visit Newbury, but hope to make it this anniversary year.

Been looking for ancestors from Newburyport...a George Hersey have had no success yet.  Would love to come to your 375th anniversary, but live in Oregon and with bad economy that isn't possible..nice website!
Richard S. Little Jr@ 11:49am 02-28-2009
I'm glad I found your site.  Didn't know about the 375th Anniversary.

I am a direct descendant of  George Little.  My grandfather, Harold Greenleaf Little was born in Newburyport.

I was up there in 2005 for the Little family reunion and enjoyed it immensely.  Relatives from all over the world I had never met.

I had the oddest feeling while there, realizing that I was probably related to many of the strangers I passed while walking the streets of Newbury and Newburyport.

I hope I will be able to join everyone at the Anniversary.

Researching all the descendants of Anthony and William Morse, who intermarried with many of the old Newbury clans and hoping to attend the celebration.

I am a decendent of James and Ann Ordway and I hope to attend the 375th celebration in 2010. I live on a family farm in northwest Ohio.
Charles Wesley Green@ 8:13am 01-19-2009
I am decended from Edmund Greenleaf, an original settler of Newbury.  I have gathered lots of  interesting research on the family and have information passed down by generations of Greenleafs that I think could be of interest to your group.  I am very interested in learning more.
Patti (Lowell) Owens@ 10:06pm 11-02-2008
I am a direct descendant of Percival Lowell.  I visited Newbury (from Colorado) in October and  was very honored to see his name on the First Settlers' Memorial.  I also visited his grave in the First Burying Ground cemetery.
