The Morse Society will help celebrate Newbury's 375th by holding our Biennial Convention in Newburyport on Oct. 16, 2010. The event will include genealogy workshops and an Open House with our Research Team. Several of our line Shepherds will be in attendance, including those for the William Morse line and the Anthony Morse line. We will also be dedicating a memorial stone for William Morse in the Original Settlers Burial Ground on Oct. 15. Registration is only $30.00 for the full convention. Contact president@morsesociety.org for more details.
How do we get this information on your calendar?

My husband Rick (Richard W. True) is a descendant of Captain Henry True, John Pike, Robert Adams and also Nathaniel Merrill. We'd love to connect with others studying the local genealogy during the 375th. We are donating a circa 1780 True Family Great Wheel to Spencer-Pierce-Little after several local school children research and report on it at NES.

My wife is a direct descendant of Nathaniel MERRILL and carries that family name as her given name. Also, her ancestry has many collateral lines connected with Newbury, MA. We hope to be part of the 375th anniversary next year.

Decendant of Frances Plummer. Hope to join in the events
for 2010. This is seperate from the FP Church's celebrations, right? That SHOULD be made extremely clear to one and all.

These are definitely separate from the First Parish Church events, but we hope to cross-promote each others' events in advertising/literature.

Was in Newbury Oct. 11, 2009 with my sister, nieces and nephew. We loved seeing where our ancestor Anthony Morse landed in 1635. We are hoping to come
back during some of the Celebrations. Thanks for all of your work and plans for the 375 Anniversary. Hope to be a part of it. Thanks so much !!

I am direct descendant of James and Nicholas Noyes (my father's name is James and have brother James, grandfather: Wm. A. Noyes). I greatly enjoyed the photo montage. I hope to visit Newbury at some point and explore the town my ancestors help found. I am (as many of you are) looking for any photos or information especially related to early settlers (Noyes) of Newbury. Any help or tips or where to obtain information would be greatly appreciated. Hello to my fellow relatives from Seattle!
