I am a direct descendant of Percival Lowell. I visited Newbury (from Colorado) in October and was very honored to see his name on the First Settlers' Memorial. I also visited his grave in the First Burying Ground cemetery.

Enjoyed your site very much. Just returned from a trip to research family history and found it. My Great-Great Uncle John Ewin and his wife Margaret Langlands were married in Newburyport and for a brief time they ran the Plum Island Hotel around 1866. He was also a foreman with Neptune Company 8 fire Company. Looking forward to returning for the celebration.

I am the son of Harriette Patton Noyes (90) , daughter of Carl Noyes, son of Issac Noyes.
I am the the direct descendant of James Noyes 1634. I have the original hand written continuous genealogy of the Noyes family Co written by Harriette Eliza Noyes and Col. Henry Noyes.
It is leather bound and signed written ab 1879 given to nephew Carl in 1895. It is about the size and thickness of a bible and is in pristine shape. I would like to donate to the city of Newbury. 651-777-7579

Fun Site. My grandmother Marjorie (Adams )Mooney grew up on the Adams farm on Orchard St. in Byfield. Fun to see the pictures of the outside and inside of the house.

Wonderful site. Thank you so much for all the work tht you have done! I am descended from the Adams, Longfellow and Jewett families (intermarried w/Doles, Lords, Worcesters) and found this all very interesting. Great job!

What a great sight. We have visited Newbury twice. Seems like if you are tied into one family you are tied into many. Family is descendand from early settlers including: Isaac Bailey, John Carr, Moses Chase, Tristram Coffin, John Emery, Ann Follinsby, John Kelly, Richard Knight, Abraham Merrill, Anthony Morse, James Ordway, Joseph Pike, John Poore, Sarah Titcomb, John Webster, etc.

Anthony Morse is my darling daughter-in-law's 11th-Great-Grandfather. She also descends from Thomas Chadwick, William Danforth, James & John Pemberton, Robert Savory, Richard Thurlow/Thorla and John Wolcott. My son and I descend from Richard Littlehale. (Our Varnum's, Jewett's, etc. weren't in Newbury.)
I have just spent some very enjoyable time working my way through the treasures on your site. What a marvelous job you have done. Others could take a lesson from how you've organized everything. Congratulations on your upcoming 375th Anniversary and thank you so much for all the hard work that has gone into this site.

My ancestry goes back to the Emery and Bailey/Bayley clans. This web site is wonderful and I hope to visit soon to walk where my ancestors once lived. Thank you so much for the visual experience.
